Dad always said "Don't waste words and get to the point,"so I'll try.
I first contacted St. Croix several months before Dad passed, thinking we were going to need them. Turns out he bounced back and we did not need hospice, but they kept in touch. When Dad did crash, we contacted St. Croix again, and the whirlwind started. We had an emergency number to use immediately and in less than 24 hours we went from being overwhelmed to relieved that we had people who knew what to do and told us what we should do, and how. Dad passed after only a few days, but those would have been really bad days without the support and guidance from St. Croix. I am so glad we did not have to get thru that time without them.
Sorry Dad, you would have been much more eloquent, and shorter, but I did my best.
