Initiating the Program

When a patient’s clinical team notes a significant decline, they will offer families the support of our Voyage Vigil Program. Our compassionate caregivers will initiate the program while supporting the individual wishes of patients through end of life.

The St. Croix Hospice Difference

St. Croix Hospice is focused solely on providing the best possible hospice care tailored to the personal needs and wishes of every patient. The Voyage Vigil Program:

  • Increases our presence at the bedside at end of life
  • Creates a peaceful environment, based on the patient’s needs and wishes, for example limiting noise and dimming lights
  • Supports loves ones individual needs, some may need a break, while others might want time alone with the patient

Voyage Vigil Team

When signs and symptoms indicate a patient is nearing the end of life we increase our presence at the bedside to care for the patients and support loved ones. The Voyage Vigil team may include our:
