David’s Ride of a Lifetime

When David Temple was admitted to St. Croix Hospice, one of the first things he shared was his lifelong dream to ride in a race car.

Less than two weeks later, his dream was fulfilled thanks to the swift work of Social Worker Allison and Care Transition Coordinator Gina from the Lincoln branch.

On the big day, David climbed into a two-seater modified race car at Eagle Raceway for a once-in-a-lifetime lap around the track. With the rumble of the road beneath him and friends and family cheering him on, David experienced the exhilaration of a race car for the first time. David’s sister, Lana, acted as his honorary pit crew and never left his side, while Gina captured the special moment through photos.

For David, this was more than just a ride — it was a triumphant victory lap, turning a lifelong dream into a cherished memory neither he nor his family will ever forget.

Thank you to Allison, Gina and the Lincoln branch team for making David’s dream a reality.
