Hospice Care in the Davenport Area

We were evaluating St. Croix Hospice because they provided care in Iowa and in Missouri and we wanted to move my dad back home since his cancer was progressing quickly.

Tonya came to our home for an intake visit to evaluate my dad’s condition and determine if he could make the 8 hour transport back to Missouri.

It was a very challenging situation— complex family dynamics and differing opinions surrounding my dad’s care. Tonya took time to speak with him privately and discuss his wishes, rather than trying to satisfy everyone else’s. She very calmly explained the pros and cons of each option as to what was best for dad and let him make the decision.

Ultimately we did not go with St. Croix Hospice and moved him into Clarissa Cook due to his cancer. Tonya is gift for St. Croix and I would not hesitate to hire them in the future.

My mom and our family loved having St Croix Hospice care for my mom the last months of her life. She truly looked forward to each of their visits. The last 2 days of her life they were a tremendous comfort to me and helped prepare me for what to expect. I will be forever grateful for their loving and compassionate care!

St. Croix staff were so kind to my mother-in-law the last few weeks of her life. The nurses and the therapists and the aids all treated my wife’s mother with love and kindness and gentleness. My mother-in-law was so happy.
